Terms & Conditions

Our terms and conditions comply with current legislation, including the new Distance Selling Regulations and are designed to ensure that all of our customers can shop easily and with confidence at Uvem Limited.

Pricing
All prices are in £ sterling, inclusive of VAT and exclusive of delivery charges. We are under no obligation to accept your order. Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change at any time prior to acceptance of your order.

Payment
Payment may be made by personal cheque with valid cheque guarantee card, Bank Transfer (BACS), Bankers draft or payable money order. Uvem Limited will soon be offering payment by credit or debit card at which point we will amend this information accordingly.

Guarantee
All of our new products and systems come with a minimum 12 months manufacturers warranty. This applies to all parts and is on a Return to Base basis. In addition here at Uvem we value your custom and offer lifetime technical support via telephone and our website. Where we offer second user systems or parts guarantees (if any) these are clearly advised. Our guarantee policy in no way affects your statutory rights.

Accepting Orders and Security
When you place an order we will treat it as an offer to buy. We will send an e-mail (first e-mail) to confirm receipt. If we accept your order, we will send you a confirmation e-mail (second e-mail) with your order number, at which point we make a legal contract with you. However, we will be entitled to refuse to accept your order if we feel it necessary, in which case we will e-mail you as soon as we can to let you know.

In deciding whether to accept your order we may use the information you have given to us, or we already hold about you, or which we receive from any enquiry we may make, to confirm your identity. We will check any details against any databases (public or private) to which we have access and will keep a record of that check. We will also retain this information and may use it to further assist us with any enquires in the future. This assists us to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions.

Age Requirements
If you order a product where a minimum age requirement is indicated, by ordering you confirm that you are of the required age.

Delivery
Delivery is restricted to the United Kingdom. All deliveries made by Courier must be signed for and you should keep your receipt. Please check your goods within 48 hours of delivery. Here at Uvem Limited we endeavour to deliver our products within 10 working days of acceptance of order unless stated otherwise. Should this not be possible for whatever reason we will keep you informed at all times. Should you be dissatisfied in any way we will of course give you the opportunity to cancel your order.

Orders will be delivered on our behalf by one of our couriers and made between 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday. If a timed delivery is required (e.g. Before 12.00am, Saturday) we can arrange this for you but at extra cost. Our courier company are not insured to enter your house/premises.

Please note that we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods. In the unlikely event that your product appears lost or is damaged in transit please contact us immediately via telephone 0845 456 1220 or email, info@uvem.com

We insist you keep the original packing in case you have reason to return your purchase within the first 28 days; see below section on Returns.

Delivery Charges
Throughout the site, the prices quoted for our products do not include the delivery charge. When you complete your order you will be offered a choice of delivery method and charges, You will always be able to see the total price of your order and delivery charges before you buy.

Tracking your Delivery
Where a courier delivery option is chosen you will be provided with a courier tracking reference number in order to track your delivery. We will contact you by telephone or e-mail if there are any unexpected delays.

Cancellations and Returns

Within 10 days of order
You may normally cancel your purchase (where we have accepted your order and delivered the product) if you notify us at anytime up to 10 working days following the day the product was delivered.

We will send you return instructions on receipt of your request to cancel under this entitlement.

The product must be complete, unused, in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way). It should be returned in the original box, including all packing and accessories. Software must still be sealed and any free gifts included with a product must be returned.

The goods must be returned immediately to Uvem Limited. If the goods are not returned within 5 working days a deduction will be made from the refund to cover Uvem Limited's direct cost of collecting the goods. (Please note that the customer is responsible for the safe return of the product and for any return postage/delivery charges that may be incurred.)

We will refund the money paid (not including the original delivery charges) by means of a sterling cheque made out to the purchaser within 30 days of receiving written confirmation of cancellation.

You must provide proof of purchase from Uvem Limited in order to cancel any purchase.

Within 28 days of order
If there is a fault with your product (or other defect with your order) you may return the product within 28 days of delivery for replacement or refund:

We will replace the product or refund your money when:

  • the product is otherwise in 'as-new' condition;
  • the product is complete with the original box and the packaging;

Our promise to replace or refund products does not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse. Where goods are refunded due to fault or other defect, we will refund delivery charges.

Within 12 months of order
If your product develops a fault after more than 28 days, it will be covered by our 12 month guarantee (excluding items such as batteries, CDR Media and products with separate manufacturers warranties e.g. monitors).

We will repair the product free of charge if it is found to be faulty.

In the first instance please contact us by email of telephone in order that a preliminary examination and problem resolution may take place. If it is agreed that the product requires more thorough examination it should be returned to us at our address. The product should be properly packaged (preferably in the original packaging) and sent by insured courier. Uvem will not take responsibility for any subsequent damage that occurs in transit as a result of insufficient packaging. You will be responsible for delivery charges to us here at Uvem. Return delivery will be at Uvem's expense.

This promise to repair products does not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse.

None of these return policies affects your statutory legal rights.

Consequential Loss
The extent of Uvem Limited liability on the purchaser for any default or breach whatsoever and howsoever arising shall in no case exceed the invoice value of the goods and Uvem Limited shall in no circumstances whatsoever be liable to the purchaser in respect of any loss or damage whether suffered by the purchaser or any customer of the purchaser and whether direct, indirect, consequential, or however else arising. Uvem Limited will not be responsible for any data loss howsoever arising. You are responsible to backup your data on a regular basis.

Miscellaneous
English law governs sales on this web site and you agree to submit any dispute to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. All orders are subject to these terms and conditions, and we will accept no amendments.

These terms and conditions only cover websites owned and operated by Uvem Limited. Any links within these sites to other web sites are not covered by this policy and we accept no responsibility or liability for the content of websites that are not under our control.

These terms and conditions do not affect your legal rights.
