About Uvem

Uvem Limited, incorporated in April 2002, was born out of long held interest in Hi-Fi and computers and the quest to set up an affordable Home Cinema offering superb performance traditionally only achievable using high-end (expensive!) components.

With the advent of more affordable Plasma displays and projectors, particularly LCD types, offering high performance and better suited to a home environment, the goal was set to get the most out of these devices.

After much experimentation and research it soon became clear that the Personal Computer (PC) was very well suited as a means of driving these display types offering superb progressive scan images with all the added benefits that a PC offers. Unfortunately most available PC's are not particularly well suited, either technically or aesthetically, to Audio Visual (AV) use. The noise most PC's create especially rules them out as a viable option. Uvem offers the perfect solution; a stylish high performance, quiet PC built with carefully selected "best-in-class"; components designed especially for AV.

Uvem systems provide affordable access to today's latest AV technologies and are fully upgradeable to take advantage of whatever the future brings.
